Zelda Young’s father, Sam Yuchtman conceived and produced one of Canada’s first Jewish entertainment radio programs in 1948, the same year as the formation of the State of Israel. At her father’s request, Zelda took over the show in 1976.

Since then, Zelda has dedicated herself to hosting and producing the highly successful daily radio program now called The Zelda Show, which airs in Toronto, Monday to Friday mornings from 9 am to 10 am, and on Sunday from 8:00 am to 10 am, in association with CHIN, the largest multicultural radio station in Canada.

In addition to her extensive radio work, Zelda has also hosted and produced The Zelda Young Show, formerly called Tapestry, a critically acclaimed television talk show, which aired from 1986 to 1993 on Toronto’s CITY TV. As well, Zelda’s show was heard in Florida from 1998 – 1999 and in Vancouver from 1995 – 2000.
